Dairy Queen Menu 2026: The Full DQ Menu, Checked and Updated
Let’s be honest about why you are here. You are probably standing in a parking lot, or sitting in the drive-thru line, trying to find out what a Blizzard costs before you reach the speaker. The Dairy Queen menu does not make that easy, DQ has never published one national price list, so the same Mini Blizzard can cost $3.49 in one town and close to $6 in another. This page fixes that: the complete menu for 2026, every category, with prices checked in October 2026 and calories pulled from DQ’s own nutrition data.
The short answer, if you are in a hurry: a Blizzard runs $3.49โ$6.99 depending on size, the $7 Meal Deal is still the best value on the board, a 4-piece Chicken Strip Basket lands between $8.99 and $9.99, and DQ Cakes start at $22.99.

One thing trips up first-timers, so it goes early: Dairy Queen runs two kinds of stores. Grill & Chill locations serve everything, burgers, chicken baskets, breakfast at a few of them, and all the frozen treats. Treat locations, usually the mall and kiosk ones, only do the frozen half. If the store in front of you has no grill, no Stackburger is coming out of it, no matter what the sign says.

This page is the whole Dairy Queen menu on one page, in simple words. Blizzards, burgers, chicken, cakes, drinks, and breakfast, each with its price and calories. Dairy Queen does not print one price list for the whole country, because each store has a different owner who sets the prices. So this site checked real store menus and the DQ app in October 2026, and shows you the true range for each item. Find your treat fast, see what it costs, then go and enjoy it.
The short answer: a Blizzard costs $3.49 to $6.99 by size. A burger meal starts near $7 with the Meal Deal. The cheapest treat on the board is the DQ Sandwich, at about $1.79 to $2.49. Every price on this page was checked in October 2026.
The menu, in quick facts:
- $3.49: where Blizzard prices start (Mini size).
- $7.00: the Meal Deal, a full meal with a sundae, all day.
- 5%: the milk fat in DQ soft serve. By law, “ice cream” needs 10%, so DQ calls its soft serve a frozen treat. It still tastes like the ice cream you grew up with.
- 100+: items on this menu, from cones to cakes.
- 1940: the year the first Dairy Queen opened, in Joliet, Illinois.

Blizzards: the treat DQ is known for
A Blizzard is soft serve mixed with chunks of candy, cookies, or cake, blended so thick that staff turn it upside down before they hand it to you. It comes in four sizes. Mini is about 6 oz, Small is about 12 oz, Medium is about 16 oz, and Large is about 21 oz.

Fans have clear favorites. The OREO Cookie Blizzard has been the top seller for years. The S’mores Blizzard is the one fans call the best of all time. Cotton Candy is the light, pink, kid-at-heart pick. Every month there is also a new Blizzard of the Month, and each fall brings back Pumpkin Pie, a fan favorite since 1991. Every flavor, with the price for each size, is on the Blizzard Menu page. For the full price list of the whole menu, see the menu with prices page.
Hot food: burgers, chicken, and more
Most DQs are Grill & Chill stores, which means real hot food, not just treats. The chicken strip basket is the star of the food side. Burgers run from a small plain hamburger to big stacked burgers with bacon and ranch.

The basket comes with fries, Texas toast, and a gravy or sauce cup. Fans say the gravy is not a side. It is the point. Ask for an extra cup. It costs very little, and it is the tip fans give most.
Classic treats: cones, sundaes, and bars
Before there was a Blizzard, there were these. Soft serve cones, hot fudge sundaes, and the Dilly Bar, a chocolate-coated treat on a stick that DQ has sold since 1955.

If you can not eat dairy, ask for the Non-Dairy Dilly Bar. It is made with coconut cream, and it is one of only two treats on the menu with no dairy in them. The full facts are on the allergen page.
Cakes for birthdays and parties
DQ cakes are layers of vanilla and chocolate soft serve with a fudge and crunch center. That crunch is the taste people remember from every childhood birthday. The round 8-inch cake feeds 8 to 10 people and starts at $22.99. The big sheet cake feeds 20 to 24 people and runs about $40.99 to $45.99. Blizzard Cakes have a full Blizzard layer mixed in. Order one or two days ahead if you can. The cakes page has every size, price, and the smart way to order a custom cake.
Drinks, shakes, and smoothies
The drink side of the Dairy Queen menu is bigger than most people think. There are thick shakes and malts, coffee drinks called MooLattes, Orange Julius fruit drinks, smoothies, and the Misty Slush, a bright frozen drink kids love.

Breakfast at Dairy Queen
Some DQs open in the morning and serve breakfast. You can get a biscuit with sausage gravy for about $3.49 to $3.99, a breakfast burrito for about $3.49 to $4.29, pancakes for about $4.49 to $5.49, and a full country platter for about $6.49 to $6.99. One warning fans learn the hard way: hash browns can cost $5.49 to $5.99 on their own, as much as a whole meal. Not every store serves breakfast, and the hours change by store. Check your store in the app before you drive over.
What a normal order costs
Prices make more sense as real orders. Here is what three normal trips cost at most stores:

Delivery apps charge more for the same food, and add fees on top. If you can pick up your order, you will pay the prices on this page, not the higher app prices.
Deals that cut the bill
You do not have to pay full price every time. The $7 Meal Deal is the best standing offer: a cheeseburger or 3-piece chicken strips, fries, a 21 oz drink, and a small sundae, for seven dollars. On top of that, the DQ app gives members new coupons every Monday. Points from each order turn into free food. And once a year, in March, Free Cone Day gives everyone a free small cone. The whole system, with the tricks fans use, is on the deals page and the $7 Meal Deal page.
Why prices change from store to store
Each Dairy Queen store has a different owner. That owner picks the prices for their store. Rent, wages, and food costs are not the same in a small town and a big city, so the prices are not the same either. This is why the Dairy Queen menu shows ranges on this site, not one fake exact price. When a price looks odd, it is not a trick. It is just a different town. One more thing: Texas stores run their own menu, with a few items you can not get in other states. That story is on the Texas menu page.
How we check the prices and calories on this page
We check prices three ways: on store menu boards, in the DQ app, and on store listings. When the three do not agree, we show the range that covers them. Calories come from DQ’s own nutrition guide. We check this page again each month, and the deals page each Monday. If your store’s price sits outside a range here, it does not mean you were charged wrong. It means your town is a bit higher or lower than most.
A good first order, if you are new
Fans get asked this a lot: what should a first-timer order? The answer fans give most is the chicken strip basket with an extra cup of gravy, and a S’mores Blizzard to end the meal. It is the full DQ story in one tray: hot food done right, and the treat done best. If you want just one treat, make it a Small Blizzard. It is big enough to share, and it costs less than five dollars at most stores.
Common questions
How much is a Blizzard at Dairy Queen?
A Mini Blizzard costs $3.49 to $3.99 at most stores. A Small is $4.49 to $4.99, a Medium is $5.29 to $5.99, and a Large is $5.99 to $6.99. Royal Blizzards, with extra toppings mixed in, cost about one dollar more per size.
What is the cheapest thing on the Dairy Queen menu?
The DQ Sandwich, at about $1.79 to $2.49. A small cone and a Misty Slush are close behind, both starting near $1.99.
Does Dairy Queen sell real food, or only ice cream?
Real food. Most stores are Grill & Chill locations with burgers, chicken strip baskets, fries, hot dogs, cheese curds, and salads. Some small stores are Treat-only and sell just desserts and drinks. The store type is shown in the DQ app.
What comes in the $7 Meal Deal?
A cheeseburger or 3-piece chicken strips, fries, a 21 oz drink, and a small sundae. You can swap the sundae for a Mini Blizzard for about $2 more. It is sold all day at stores that take part.
Does Dairy Queen have anything with no dairy?
Yes, two treats: the Non-Dairy Dilly Bar and a plain Misty Slush. The soft serve, cones, Blizzards, and shakes all have milk in them. Shared tools mean a small risk of cross-touch, so tell the staff if you have an allergy.
How far ahead should I order a DQ cake?
One or two days ahead is safe for a custom cake. Many stores also keep ready cakes in the freezer case, so a same-day cake often works too. Go to the store in person for custom work. Fans and staff both say it works better than the cake website.
Why is my store’s price not the same as this page?
Each store has a different owner, and that owner sets the prices. This page shows the range that covers most stores, checked in October 2026. Your store can sit a bit above or below it.
Does Dairy Queen serve breakfast all day?
No. Breakfast is a morning menu, and the end time changes by store. Not every store serves breakfast at all. Check your store’s hours in the app.
Our last words
The Dairy Queen menu is not hard once you see it in parts: pick a size, pick a flavor, add food if you are hungry, and let the deals cut the bill. This page will keep doing the dull work for you, checking prices each month, so the menu you read here stays the menu you meet at the store. Start with the menu with prices if you want every item, or the Blizzard Menu if you came for the good stuff first. Either way, save room for the flip.
